I took over as CEO in 2022, carrying forward a legacy the founders built over fifteen years. My focus is on taking Janaki's foundation in bulk messaging and digital payments into what's next — new channels like WhatsApp Business, deeper enterprise solutions, and making sure Nepali businesses stay connected to the customers who rely on them.

I joined Janaki Technology in 2009, two years after Manish, Arbin, and Dhruba started it at Pulchowk Campus, and helped build Sparrow SMS into Nepal's leading bulk SMS platform. In 2017 we launched Khalti with the same conviction — that digitizing payments could bring an entire country closer to a cashless future. That work earned Khalti the ICT Entrepreneur Award in 2019, but the real reward is the reach it's given ordinary Nepalis.

Janaki Technology started in 2007 with a few of us writing code as engineering students at Pulchowk Campus. That instinct — build it simple, build it useful — carried through Sparrow SMS and into Khalti, which I now help run as Managing Director. Nearly two decades later, we still measure ourselves by whether what we ship actually makes life easier for people in Nepal.

I own the engineering decisions behind everything Janaki Technology has shipped since 2007 — from the messaging infrastructure under Sparrow SMS to the systems that keep Khalti processing payments securely at scale. Nineteen years of uptime taught us that trust is built in the unglamorous work: reliability, security, and never cutting corners on either.

I've served as Managing Director of Janaki Technology since we founded it in 2007, overseeing the operations that let Sparrow SMS and Khalti scale reliably. Since 2017 I've also directed Khalti's push into digital financial literacy — because a payment platform only matters if people trust it enough to actually use it.

I'm a Chartered Accountant by training, qualified through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, with a background spanning audit and consultancy before I joined Janaki Technology. As CFO, my job is to keep the financial discipline in place that lets the founders keep building — so growth at Sparrow SMS and Khalti is sustainable, not just fast.
