Janaki Technology is steered by the founders and leaders who built it from a college dorm in 2007. Nearly two decades on, they've shaped Sparrow SMS, Khalti, and Picovico — and with them, Nepal's payment, messaging, and video landscapes.
Manish Modi is a Nepali technology entrepreneur and one of the co-founders. He played a key role in transforming Janaki Technology from a software outsourcing company into a product-focused technology company. Manish currently serves as a Managign Director of Janaki Technology and has been actively involved in Nepal’s startup and technology ecosystem, including international entrepreneurship and acceleration programs.
Amit Agrawal is a prominent Nepali technology entrepreneur and one of the key figures behind Janaki Technology Pvt. Ltd. He joined the company in 2009 and played an instrumental role in building and expanding its technology businesses, including the launch of Sparrow SMS in 2010. His entrepreneurial journey later extended to the digital payments sector as a co-founder of Khalti, one of Nepal’s leading digital wallets.
Dhruba Adhikari is one of the co-founders of Janaki Technology Pvt. Ltd. Dhruba played a key technical and entrepreneurial role in this journey, including the development of Sparrow SMS and later Khalti Digital Wallet. He subsequently served as the Chief Technology Officer of Khalti, where he was involved in building and scaling the technology infrastructure behind the digital payment platform.
Arvind Sah is a Nepali technology entrepreneur and co-founder of Janaki Technology Pvt. Ltd. He has played a key role in the development and growth of Sparrow SMS. Also as a co-founder and director of Khalti, he has been involved in initiatives spanning digital payments, telecommunications, agriculture, and technology entrepreneurship.
Manoj Thapa is the Chief Executive Officer of Janaki Technology Pvt. Ltd., the company behind Sparrow SMS, and has been serving in this role since January 2022. Under his leadership, Sparrow SMS has continued its evolution from a traditional bulk SMS provider into a broader enterprise messaging platform, expanding its services across SMS, WhatsApp Business Messaging and other communication channels.
Ojash Thapa is a Chartered Accountant and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Janaki Technology Pvt. Ltd. Ojash has been bringing professional experience in finance, accounting, auditing, and financial management. He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a bachelor's degree from Bangalore University.
